So apparently there is a bit of a “war” going on – and Stubby (aka The Stubborn Australian) has nominated me for this 3.2.1 Quote Me challenge. (I will call a truce for now as I know you want to write other things too Stubby. I do as well, but I can’t pass up the challenge, now can I?)
Since tomorrow is a holiday in the US, I have a lot of work to get through today – so let’s make this one quick. (Plus, I still need to write more about the other incidents with Cookie – the cat who likes to leave her loved ones LIVE animals!)
1. Thank the Selector……Thank you Stubby!!!! (Check out his blog – you’ll be glad you did!)
2. Post 2 quotes related to the Topic of the Day – The Beauty of Music in this case!
3. Select 3 bloggers to participate in the 3.2.1 Quote Me Challenge
So here are my two quotes. I’ll be honest I had to do some googling because I’m not totally sure I’ve paid attention to quotes about the beauty of music. I do love music and I find it is something I can really connect with emotionally – but I am not musically gifted in anyway myself (I turn up the car stereo so loud that I can’t hear myself sing!) – so I guess I’ve never really focused on quotes about this before. So this was a fun exercise to see what all is out there.
So recently I’ve become a big fan of the poet Atticus and so I did search on music quotes. Technically I guess this one has more to do with women than music – but I thought it was very fitting.
the old man laughed
‘are an ever flowing music –
no use complaining about the song,
just try to find one,
that makes you want to dance.’
And then I found this one which just spoke to me.
Einstein said that the most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. So why do so many of us try to explain the beauty of music, thus depriving it of its mystery?

I’ve been realizing lately that while I feel like I’ve been going through a bout of depression – it seems to be happening as well with many around me. Is it contagious or is it something you just don’t see until you are there yourself? We all need a bit more music and the beauty it brings into our lives. Here’s to praying we all find that music within.
